Jesse W. Johnson, 56, Country Club Court, a 30-year employee of Indiana Bell Telephone Co. as a switchman, died early Tuesday in Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. Johnson was a member of the United Methodist Church at Losantville, Ind.; Byron Cox Post 72 American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was an Army veteran of World War II. A native of Losantville, he was born Feb. 4, 1914, a son of Herbert O. and Augusta Johnson. He was married in May of 1951 to Mary Hornacky. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Nicholas and Michael, both of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Edith Haley of Ridge Crest, Calif., and two brothers, D. E. Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lewis Johnson of Indianapolis. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Father Alexander Stolaraski officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Clinton. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. – typed by Chris M.
